"Time of Dyin" (Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed or a variation thereof) is a black gospel music song. It is Jobe's first cover release. The title line, closing each stanza of the song, refers to a person's Homegoing transition described in a passage in the Bible from Psalms 41:3 "The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing, thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness".
To the best of my research, the first released recording dates to 1927 by Blind Willie Johnson.
Numerous artists have recorded variations ofthe tune including Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin. Both releases, however, incorrectly claimed authorship of the publishing rights.
